FAQs
Q:
There are additional services that I’d like you to handle while I
am away. Can you handle additional services?
A. In most cases, we can accommodate
additional services, but there may be additional fees involved. Please call
us to discuss.
Q: How many visits a day does my pet need?
A.
It is completely up to you how many
visits your pet will need, as you know your pet best. Based on our
experience, dogs typically need 2 – 3 visits per day (mainly for attention
and potty breaks) and cats need 1 – 2 visits per day.
Q: What types of pets do you typically
care for?
A. We primarily care for dogs and cats,
as well as rabbits, fish and amphibians, birds, gerbils, and other caged
(small) animals. We do not typically take on large animals (i.e. horses),
farm animals, reptiles/snakes, or exotic pets (i.e. big cats) as we are not
specialized in their care.
Q: What happens if there is a storm that
makes roads impassable? How will you care for my pet?
A. Rest assured that we will find a way
to reach your pet(s). This may mean that we contract a pet sitter that is
closer to your home for that particular day, or snow-shoe in from a main
road to make sure your pet is cared for.
Q: What happens if my pet gets ill or is
injured, and I can’t be reached?
A. During the orientation meeting, we
will have you sign a veterinary release form that gives us the ability to
care for your pet at what ever level you give us permission for while you
are away. In addition, during orientation we will ask you for emergency
contact information (a contact other than you). We will contact them if an
emergency arises and you can’t be reached.
Q: How are my pets and home protected if
something goes wrong?
A.
